How to call it
The same tool through each route. MCP clients reach it through Strale’s server at https://api.strale.io/mcp; the call below is what the agent sends.
# Needs an API key. max_price_cents caps what this call may cost.

Indicators can cover different years
World Bank indicators are collected on independent national reporting schedules (GDP may be 2025, unemployment 2024, population 2023 for the same country). Each indicator entry carries its own 'year'; there is no single as-of date for the whole response.
Some indicator/country/year combinations have no data
Smaller economies and territories often have gaps in specific series (especially labour and FDI indicators). An indicator with value:null and an unavailable_reason means the World Bank has no observation for that country/period — not that the value is zero.
Only 10 selected indicators are supported
Only 10 KYB-relevant indicator keys are exposed via the 'indicators' parameter. The World Bank publishes far more series; this capability does not expose arbitrary WDI indicator codes.
What to do instead: For indicators outside this curated set, query api.worldbank.org directly with the desired series code
