Limitations

US recalls only, keyword search is a title substring match
Covers CPSC-jurisdiction consumer products in the US only. RecallTitle matching is a substring search against the recall's published title, not a semantic or product-category search — synonyms and typos won't match.
What to do instead: Try both a product-type keyword (e.g. "crib") and a brand/manufacturer name
Does not cover food, drug, or vehicle recalls
CPSC jurisdiction excludes food (FDA/USDA), pharmaceuticals (FDA), and motor vehicles (NHTSA) — those have their own separate recall systems not covered by this capability.
Results are capped at 25 with no guaranteed sort order
The CPSC API does not document a stable relevance or recency sort order for its default response; results are returned as-is and truncated to 25 records here.
